The casetta is a small round house, or more correctly octagonal house. It is constructed from natural materials and so has high ecological credentials. Laricio pine has been used to build its structure with wattle and daub (alder and lime) walls. Both the Laricio pine and the alder are from sources on the island. To complete the eco-friendly philosophy the Cassetta has a living roof.
The Casetta faces towards the south and has its own seating area just to the side where you can relax in harmony with nature. Michel has chosen to decorate the interior in calming colours giving a wonderful relaxing atmosphere, especially with the gentle light that permeates the stained glass embedded in the walls.
