Bernard

Since Bernard arrived in Corsica in 2003 he has always wanted to create and run a guest house, whilst not abandoning his other interests. Bernard is a violin and cello maker and he has exercised his profession both in Paris and Hollywood before Corsica.

He has also developed a very strong passion for permaculture, a philosophy for working with rather than against nature, including learning its principles in the country of its origin, Australia.

He is very fond of Corsica and a mine of useful information to help you make the most of your stay. He is also very happy to reveal how a cello is made and to play a few notes of Bach to demonstrate its musical tone.

For this forward looking creator of Casa Murza “life at Casa Murza is a gentle harmony with the calmness of the nature in which it sits”.

Michel

Michel is an essential part of the running of Casa Murza. He is an expert in the principles of eco-friendly construction and its on-going maintenance. He rises to other challenges principally the interior decoration of Casa Murza and the preparation of all the meals. His skills in these areas are appreciated by all our guests.

Michel is always looking for ways to improve his work which leads him to make good use of his curiosity and imagination. Once you have experienced his remarkable sense of humour you will know all there is to know about this vibrant, generous and colourful man who, 10 years ago, gave up a successful business in the Midi region of France for this totally fulfilling role in Vico.
